Lab grown diamonds are diamonds that have been grown in a laboratory, instead of mined from the earth. They are real diamonds and are essentially chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds.

Lab grown diamonds are usually produced through a process called Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). In this process, carbon-rich vapors are distilled, depositing carbon atoms onto a diamond seed crystal. The resulting chemical reaction “grows” the diamonds which equal natural diamonds in fire, hardness, and brilliance.
